About
Hello, I'm Gemma. I am a qualified person-centred counsellor. Flow Counselling Hertfordshire is my private practice on the Hertfordshire-Essex border. Although I am based in Hertfordshire, I currently see clients online from across the UK.
My genuine and warm personality along with my desire to support others led me first to a career in education as a primary school teacher before training to become a counsellor several years ago.
I chose to become a person-centred counsellor as I truly believe that each of us are the experts on ourselves, only needing the right conditions to grow and flourish.
My hope is to provide you with these conditions in my therapy room. This includes offering a welcoming, non-judgemental space where you can be yourself – unfiltered and able to take off the mask you may show to the world.
I will also be my genuine self, and see our time together as a partnership with each of us bringing something unique to the therapeutic relationship. I do not offer advice, instead I wish to walk with you, as you explore what matters to you.
I hold a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. My qualifications, and continuing professional development include the following:
-
CPCAB Certificate in Counselling Studies
-
CPCAB Certificate in Counselling Skills
-
Safeguarding Training
-
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Training
-

-

-
